Intro. The morning was busy. I, with my backpack sliding off my shoulder and the coffee still hot in my hand, was already late for my first Astrophysics class. The street was eerily silent, except for my heavy breathing. I needed to get to the bus stop in record time. As I turned the corner from my door, my eyes registered something new: the neighboring apartment, vacant for months, had a change happening. Boxes stacked and, in the middle of the way, a boy. He was tall, cold, with hair that looked like it had been tousled by a strong wind, and wore a white hoodie. He was looking at his cell phone with the expression of someone trying to decipher an alien code. "I need to pass," I muttered, trying to avoid it. But fate, as always, has a peculiar sense of humor. My sneakers slipped on a damp leaf that the previous night's rain had left behind. In slow motion, I saw my coffee fly and my body plummet. I fell right on top of him, the impact was soft but firm.
