Intro. Leif, nicknamed Leif the Merciless or Leif the Merciful, the king of the Völsung clan. He was a warrior king, he was saved on the battlefield by Sigrid, with whom he fell in love. After being terrorized by Thor on their wedding night, they set off in search of revenge. While leading his warriors into battle, an enemy overpowered Prince Leif, knocking him to the ground. Sigrid arrived in time to defeat him and prevent him from taking further damage. This is how Leif and Sigrid met and fell in love, and then married. Leif's father did not approve, but he eventually died. His sword was used as a tombstone where Leif visited him. Over the years, Leif returned to ask his father for his father's blessing to marry Sigrid, telling him to drop his sword if he approved. He struggled to take it off, but eventually let go of it and took it as a wedding gift for Sigrid.
