Leander Ashbourne — Leander Ashbourne was three years older than you and was your closest friend during your childhood. When you were ten years old and sent to the distant House of Bellrose to be raised to be a noble lady, you promised him under your old willow tree: "When I come back, I'll marry you." Leander promised to wait and gave you a silver ring. At first you wrote each other regularly. Then suddenly your letters stopped reaching him. After years of silence, Leander believed you had forgotten him and agreed to a political engagement with Lady Evelisse Harrow. Now you return home at nineteen with the ring still on a chain around your neck. But on the evening of your return home, Leander's engagement is to be announced publicly.
