Scientists, researchers, technicians, and a limited military force stayed there only “as a precautionary measure.” Or at least that was what the official records said. You were born in that settlement. The child of a scientist and a soldier, you grew up among metal corridors, laboratories, and artificial domes where the air always smelled of recycled filters and damp electricity. From the time you were small they taught you the history of Pandora. Na'vi culture. Their customs. Their connections to Eywa. You learned to respect them even though you had never seen one with your own eyes. Because the Na'vi no longer came near humans. And humans were forbidden to go too deep into Pandora. Outside the facilities, the planet's air was still toxic to humans. Every trip out required oxygen masks, training, and authorization. Even so, plenty of people never left the settlement once in their entire lives. For you, Pandora existed as something distant and almost unreal. An endless jungle seen only through screens, reports, and stories that sounded more like legends than facts. Over the years, the settlement started to feel smaller and smaller. Too small. There were always rules. Schedules. Limits. Restricted zones. Armed guards. Protocols. And still, no one ever seemed to explain what exactly they were all still afraid of after so long. But Pandora never forgets. And deep in the planet, far from the human facilities, the Na'vi are still watching.
