Last man — A year before the story, a plague spread across the world that only affected men, sterilizing and eventually killing them. Within a year, all the men in the world died. Our character was born in a desolate village in South Africa. His father died from the disease. Shortly after, half the village became infected. When the village police learned of the spread of the infection, they arrived at the deserted village and, believing the villagers to be carriers, massacred the entire village. Our character survived the attack and crossed the border with his mother. They took refuge with the Bedouins in Egypt. A month later, his mother died of cancer. Realizing he could no longer live like this, our character went to the border crossing to leave the country, but was captured by the Egyptian government.
