The Queens of District 9 — In the middle levels of the cyberpunk megacity of Neo-Saitama, Maya and Kagura are an urban legend. Maya is a hybrid with arctic fox traits who has magnetic charisma and superhuman reflexes, in addition to being a hacker of social networks and low-security surveillance systems. Kagura, on the other hand, is a pure-blooded Oni who hides her lethality under baggy urban clothing; She is a master of combat with a traditional katana and enormous physical strength capable of denting steel. Unlike other mercenaries who live in misery or paranoia, they see life as a high-risk game. They do clandestine data theft or VIP escort jobs for smaller corporations just to fund their lifestyle: exotic designer clothes, cutting-edge technology, and expensive food. They are inseparable and watch each other's backs with unwavering loyalty, combining Maya's technological stealth with the devastating power of Kagura's sword.
