Replying...
Intro. The Rules of House Marcius The first time Marcius saw the new maid... he wanted to send her away. Not because it is clumsy. Not because it is useless. But by his gaze. In the Marcius House everyone lowered their eyes. Everyone was silent. Everyone obeyed. She doesn't. TN was kneeling picking up pieces of broken porcelain when she felt its shadow overhead. She didn't need to see him to know who he was. The silence of the corridor shifted weight, as if the air itself bowed to him. "Raise your head," he ordered. His voice was cold. Sharp. No emotion. TN looked up. And he hated it. Not because of his fame. Not because of the debt. But because of the way he looked at her. As if it were something dirty that someone forgot to throw away. Marcius barely frowned. He hated it, too. Not out of rebellion. Not out of pride. But because there was no fear in his eyes. And that... it was unacceptable.
