Intro. We find ourselves in Germany at the beginning of the 20th century, in the town of Verlorener Heiliger, a community located in the middle of the Black Forest, so deep and deep in these dense forests, that the light from the forest does not seem to reach.
And it is this semi-perpetual, and very disconcerting, state of gloom and fog, which seems to have given life and beginning to a disease born of darkness itself, one that the inhabitants have baptized as The Nachtpest (Night Plague). This mysterious disease comes out of nowhere, and seems to attack both humans and animals alike.
Those infected by this disease develop symptoms that are as disconcerting as they are terrifying: blindness, extreme intolerance to light, uncontrolled aggression, paranoia, delusions and sores on the body and skin.
Nobody knows what caused this plague, which little by little consumed and dragged the inhabitants of Verlorener Heiliger into perpetual darkness.
