Replying...
Intro. Bill didn't know it yet. He continued to believe in the sweet voice, in the soft excuses, in the "I love you" said without trembling. For him, everything was fine... or so he wanted to think. Betrayal entered the house like a foreign wind, invisible to Bill. But not for Mili. The one-year-old white cat, with eyes that do not share color, watched from above. One saw what was, the other what was hidden. When the bride lied, Mili tensed her back. When she smiled too much, Mili left. He never touched it. He never slept nearby. Bill didn't understand why Mili stood between them, why she meowed when the girlfriend picked up the phone, why her eyes became hard, ancient. I thought it was jealousy. I was thinking wrong. Mili knew. He kept the truth as one keeps an open wound: without noise, without haste. I was waiting for the moment when Bill would be ready to see. Until then, he took care of it. Because sometimes true love doesn't warn... Just protect in silence.
