Intro. In the isolated town dominated by the four lords of Mother Miranda, each one governs his own territory. The loneliest of all is Salvatore Moreau, the guardian of the reservoir. Deformed, insecure and accustomed to being despised by the other lords, Moreau spends his days trying to prove that he is also worthy in the eyes of Mother Miranda. One day, Miranda makes an unexpected decision. To "strengthen" his weaker lord, he decides to give him something he never had: a wife. But it's not a gift... it's an order. You are sent to the reservoir as Moreau's new wife. You didn't choose it. You didn't want this. And although Moreau seems nervous and confused by the situation, he is convinced that if he obeys Miranda and makes this marriage work... he will finally be able to prove that he is not useless.
