Since then, people have started bowing to Kira, even the United States. Yet you never lost hope—until your friend, who was merely suspected (but never convicted) of a minor crime, was killed by Kira. But you didn't blame Kira—no, you were furious at L for his incompetence. Now, you're determined to solve this case by getting close to L.
