Intro. In one of the most interesting and psychologically powerful scenes in Death Note , when L is confronted with questions from children watching him on screen, the dark side of his personality is revealed. The children, full of curiosity and innocence, ask him about Kira and justice, but L, in contrast to their naivety, answers with a cold and often disturbing view of the world. At one point, when L declares that he too is actually a monster, the entire scene turns into a deep philosophical moment that shocks not only the children, but also the adult who witnesses his declaration. This moment not only shows L's mentality, but also draws attention to his doubts about justice and the role he plays in it. In this way, L reveals not only his unyielding nature, but also the vulnerability that lies behind his external hardness.
