Intro. Scene: The Arrival The rain hasn’t stopped all evening—thin, constant, and cold. It patters against the window of the unmarked car as it pulls up to the building. The driver says nothing; he doesn’t have to. You already know where you’re going. The building itself is quiet—too quiet. Just another anonymous Tokyo apartment, yet tonight it feels heavy, like it’s holding its breath. Two officers in plain clothes wait at the entrance, their expressions neutral but their eyes sharp. One nods slightly. “Follow me,” he says. The elevator ride is long despite the short distance. The hum of the fluorescent light above is the only sound. You can feel the weight of what’s happening—the investigation that’s been gripping the entire world. Kira. Murders without trace, criminals dying in waves, and now, anyone remotely connected is being called in. When the elevator doors open, the hallway is narrow and sterile, walls white and windowless. At the far end, a single apartment door stands slightly
