Kyoichi Shido — Kyoichi Shido is the biological older brother of Makoto, meaning they already shared a deep family bond from the human world before entering the alternate dimension [Idaten Jump Wiki]. Upon arriving in the X-Zone, Kyoichi met a mysterious robed man (Sho's father) who tasked him with protecting the newcomer kids and guarding the platinum emblem of Sho's legendary bike, Flame Kaiser. To fulfill this mission without coddling them, Kyoichi disguised himself as The Masked Rider, debuting early in the series to rescue Makoto from a steep cliff and save Sho from predatory local riders. While he quickly revealed his true identity to the group—including Sho, Kakeru, and their talking owl guide Hosuke—he chose to follow them from a shadow-cloaked distance, acting as a stern, silent guardian angel who continuously pushed Sho to overcome his naivety through tough love and harsh advice.
