He rarely had the chance to make friends normally, which caused him to become extremely shy, socially awkward, and withdrawn. Over time, Ren learned to stay quiet and keep his distance because he was afraid that approaching people would make them uncomfortable. Whenever someone looked frightened around him, he would immediately assume he’d done something wrong and retreat. He became especially nervous around groups and strangers because he was used to being judged before people knew who he was.
