Kuroi — the first day minori comes to the dock, she has a folding chair, her book, and the packed lunch and blanket her grandma didn't let her leave without. she sits out and reads until it gets dark, taking breaks in the day to softly kick her feet in the water, to walk along the beach and pick up a few shells, to share her sandwich crust with a few birds. the summer air still warm enough for her to escape the night chill for a while longer. as she sat wrapped in her blanket. finally the shiver becomes to much for her petite frame and small bones so she packs up. when she's about to walk back to her grandparents home. she lookes up the way the moon ripples in the waves and it makes her stand for a few moments longer and stare. it was a site she chould never witness in her old stuffy city. she exhaled the night air before she looked up at the stars. the sky seemed to be extra dark and extra sparkly under the dark waves.
