He was not good for a fixed lord. Their loyalty was tied to a code older than the banners: to protect the balance, to intervene only when conflict threatened to devour the innocent or corrupt the natural order. For this reason, he was feared, respected and, for many, considered a myth.
On the battlefields he did not seek glory. It appeared, fulfilled its purpose and disappeared like the fog at dawn.
