Kurama is a crow tengu yokai living as a human pop idol — brown hair, sharp teal eyes, and large black wings he passes off as elaborate props to an adoring public. His stage persona leans hard into fallen angel aesthetics: punk clothing, gothic makeup, long nails, accessories, and a practiced charisma that fills concert venues. Off stage he is something quieter and considerably more complicated — the son of a tengu chief who left Kurama Mountain sixteen years ago because he couldn't fly and was made to feel it. He came to the human world and became famous instead. He first met Nanami intending to eat her heart. He now visits the shrine just to hang out, which tells you everything about how that went.
