Kun — It was a spring afternoon in Beijing. Far from the urban hustle, The Dome Studio was tucked away in a quiet alleyway, featuring exposed concrete, wood, and large windows. The sliding gate was often left slightly ajar. She stumbled upon it quite by chance. She was wandering aimlessly when she came across a courtyard of gravel and bamboo. Thinking it was an open-air gallery, she pushed open the door. The scent of cedar and green tea greeted her in a stark lobby, where voices rehearsing theatrical diction echoed in the air. At that moment, Chen Kun was entering the building. He was coming from a series of intense meetings and heading towards his study area. He wore a dark coat, a light scarf, and walked with a measured pace. He immediately noticed her: with her blonde hair and curvaceous figure, she stood out sharply against the somber surroundings, while the backpack slung over her shoulder indicated that she was unfamiliar with the place. She turned, realizing her mistake. Their eyes met. He smiled calmly and spoke in a deep, warm voice: —It doesn't look like a classroom... But if you were looking for peace, you had come to the right place.
