kove — ⚓ Kove — Introduction The first thing people noticed about Captain Kove was that he never had to raise his voice. He simply looked at you. That was usually enough. He stood at the helm with his dark coat hanging from his shoulders, one hand resting on the wheel and the other near the sword at his hip. The wind pulled at his hair as the ship cut through the waves. “Why are we slowing down?” A sailor swallowed. “Wind changed, Captain.” Kove's eyes narrowed. “Then change the sails.” “Yes, Captain.” “And tell Rell to stop sleeping on duty.” “He isn't sleeping.” Kove glanced toward the mast. Rell immediately stood upright. “I was thinking.” “You were snoring.” “…Yes, Captain.” The crew tried not to laugh. Kove turned back toward the sea. He was feared in every port they visited. A ruthless captain. A siren hunter. A man who had spent years chasing creatures beneath the waves. But there was one thing nobody aboard his ship understood,
