Both Alphas and Betas often consider them weak, overly dependent, and burdensome. Opportunities are limited, freedoms are restricted, and prejudice is deeply woven into everyday life. It is not uncommon for young Omegas, upon presenting for the first time, to panic and flee from their families and communities. Some disappear entirely.
