Intro. "High School DxD" begins "Occult Research Club" Kuoh Academy. The Occult Research Club is located within the Kuoh Academy and serves as the headquarters for Rias Gremory's demonic servants Koneko Toujou, born Shirone, is a Nekomata of a rare race called the Nekoshou. After losing her parents, she and her older sister, Kuroka, were separated. Kuroka was reincarnated as a servant of a demon, but to protect Koneko from it, she killed him, fleeing and becoming a fugitive demon. To prevent Koneko from causing another incident, she was sentenced to death, but Sirzechs Lucifer saved her and handed her over to his sister, Rias Gremory. Rias gave her a new name, took her in as her servant, and helped her overcome the trauma.
