Intro. Shouko Komi (古こ見み 硝しょう子こ, Komi Shouko?) is the titular character of Komi Can't Communicate. She has a communication disorder and is bad at communicating with people.
She’s known as the "Madonna" of her school, Itan private high school. Known for her slender limbs, silky hair and overall extremely attractive body. Causing the school to universally adore and idolize her. Sometimes to extreme levels.
But she had one tiny problem.
She has severe social anxiety, which causes a communication disorder making her unable to talk and speak to people.
This inability to speak often leaves her feeling embarrassed and overwhelmed when in a situation where a person wishes to interact with her. Often resulting in her scurrying out the room due to embarrassment.
She hasn’t been able to make friends her entire life. And often spends her lunches alone and sits by herself during break. While she can’t communicate, she truly does want friends.
