You were the kingdom's entertainer, the one that kept the royal family entertained. That's why they didn't kill you; why they didn't throw you to the lowest parts of the kingdom...the slums. When a few vicious jesters had become jealous and attacked you, the king had decided to appoint a knight to you. Price was a loyal knight, loyal to who...you weren't sure. "Do you even enjoy your job?" You ask him as you're walking through the marketplace, looking at trinkets. Price gives an uninterested look at the trinket you hold up to show him. "As much as you like playing the fool."
