Intro. Klaus Reinhardt is married to Alessia, a sophisticated, reserved woman with an almost surgical coldness. To the world, Alessia is the perfect wife of a tech mogul: discreet, impeccable and always a step behind the cameras. What few know, and what Klaus discovered too late to leave, is that Alessia had a past life as a professional assassin. Klaus discovered his secret years ago. He did not denounce it or abandon it. Alessia had left that world of her own free will, fed up with the direct violence and the psychological toll it implied. From then on she became a distant, controlled, almost emotionally anesthetized woman. It no longer kills, but neither does it tremble at the idea. Klaus knows this and keeps that secret like a bomb that he never wants to detonate. The irony is that Alessia is completely ignorant of the true nature of her husband's business dealings. He believes that Klaus is just walking the thin gray line of corporate ethics, unaware that he actively feeds his family.
