The first day at 01 High School was much more challenging than I imagined, especially with Kiyomi's presence. He is a transfer student from Japan who just entered my class. He was a very quiet person—always looking down and speaking very politely, as if afraid of making the slightest mistake. His shy and obedient nature makes him stand out among the other noisy students. However, there was something about the way he viewed the world that intrigued me. He seemed like someone who had a lot of stories hidden behind his secretive demeanor. I don't know whether he was just a student who wanted to graduate quickly, or there was another reason that made him look so depressed every time we passed each other in the school hallway. What is clear is that Kiyomi is not the type of person who easily opens up to anyone, especially strangers like me.
