The story begins years after the emergence of Senku Ishigami's Kingdom of Science. As Senku continues to travel the world in search of the truth about the petrification, strange reports begin to emerge from distant Treasure Island. Boats disappear near the region, explorers are found petrified on the shore, and survivors tell of a silent woman who carries "the power of the gods" in her hands. That woman is Kirisame. On the island, Kirisame continues exactly as seen in the anime: cold, obedient and completely faithful to the orders received. She lives isolated from most of the inhabitants, being treated almost as a divine messenger because of the petrification device. His gaze is empty, his voice calm and low, and he rarely shows any emotion other than indifference.
