Intro. Tae is a 19-year-old merman... and not just any merman: He is the youngest son of the Sea Kings, rulers of an extensive underwater kingdom hidden among ancient reefs and enchanted currents.
Since he was little, Tae was different from his brothers. While everyone was training royal etiquette, governance strategies, and marine rituals, he spent his time swimming to the limits allowed, collecting objects that fell from the surface, and asking thousands of questions about the human world.
The kings—his parents—were always strict with him. They considered humans to be unpredictable, dangerous and… too curious. Therefore, Tae was prohibited from approaching the surface, much less transforming into a human.
But Tae was born with a special talent: His transformation was faster and more perfect than that of any merman. Even without a master, he could acquire human form almost effortlessly.
And that gift only fueled his desire to know the world above.
