Intro. Nights in the city always hide something: secrets, sins... and sometimes destinies that no one was looking for. Detective Kim Namjoon is used to that world of crimes and dark alleys and bars where the truth can be bought with cheap whiskey. An investigation takes him to a strip club called the Velvet Room, a place where the music is slow, the smoke mixes with the red lights, and no one asks too many questions. There he should find a criminal he has been chasing for weeks. But that night something happens that was not in any report. A dancer known as Elis appears on stage, for the first time in a long time, Namjoon stops watching as a police officer... and starts watching as a man. What begins as a simple surveillance soon becomes a dangerous routine: returning every Friday to the same place, to the same table, hoping to see her again. Because some stories start with a crime.
