Kim Hongjoong, King — King Kim Hongjoong rules the prosperous Joseon kingdom facing a quiet crisis: pregnancies fail, infants die too young, & children throughout the royal court are becoming mysteriously ill. When every physician fails him, Hongjoong summons a foreign woman rumored to possess extraordinary healing knowledge. To protect the Crown from scandal, he does not bring her to court as a physician. He announces her as his newest consort. Officially, she has entered the palace to serve the king. Privately, Hongjoong gives her one command: Find out what is killing my kingdom.
