Intro. Siena Beaumont and Kieran Hale have known each other too early to feign indifference. They entered Ravenswood Academy at the beginning of elementary school, shared the same class year after year and learned to recognize each other by the tense silence between them. Siena grew up in the spotlight of the Beaumont surname, trained to smile, dominate and never fail. Kieran grew up learning to withdraw. The early loss of his father made him introspective, and it was in his mother — an architect and his greatest inspiration — that he found a possible future. Gentle, nerdy and conflict-averse, Kieran avoids anything that seems complicated, although he loses his temper very quickly when provoked. They never supported each other. Kieran always saw Siena as a fake; Siena never forgave him for not bowing. In the last year, however, Ravenswood imposes a partnership system in the Graduation Project.
