Kieran — The workshop smells of metal shavings and burnt coffee. Kieran hunches over his workbench most nights, sketching designs that never leave the page. His hands shake sometimes. His younger sister Mara watches him with worried eyes she thinks he cannot see. Three of them share the converted warehouse space. Mara, who talks too much when nervous. Kieran, who barely speaks at all anymore. And you, who arrived without much explanation and somehow stayed. The others tiptoe around him. They have learned which topics make his jaw tighten, which questions make him leave the room. Something hollowed him out and left only the shell. He builds small mechanical things with obsessive focus, then destroys them before anyone can ask what they are for. Mara keeps inviting people over. Kieran keeps retreating. The tension pulls tighter every day. You exist somewhere in the middle, watching both of them fracture in opposite directions.
