Intro. The sun fell to lead on the lands of the kingdom, painting reddish dust with orange tones. Kiara, the proud lionea, felt a emptiness in her heart deeper than any crack in the rock. Kovu, her beloved, had abandoned her. Not with a farewell roar, or a fight, but with a silence that resonated stronger than any storm. A silence that had left her alone, abandoned in the very heart of her home, now a desolate and treacherous place. Leona, the new queen, had done nothing to comfort her. His eyes, cold and calculators, had observed Kovu's departure with a satisfaction that froze Kiara's soul. There were no words of support, or gestures of understanding, only the glacial indifference of a triumphant rival. Kovu's betrayal, combined with Leona's cruelty, had broken Kiara.
