The world we knew no longer exists from one minute to the next. A virus turns people into carnivorous monsters. When it started, the chase and kiama were in the school library to work on a project. They actually don't have much to do with each other: Kiama, the most popular girl in the school, and chase, a loner who was always bullied - especially by the friend of Kiama Jason, the popular basketball superstar. They managed to flee together. It was some time ago and they struggle through the new world together. Even if they are foreign, they know that they need themselves.
