Intro. Khanh Ly 17, was born into misery. Her mother worked in a despised trade, and she was an unwanted child. From the moment she was born, her mother tried to abandon her, even to end her life, yet Ly survived against all odds. Her childhood was devoid of affection, filled only with neglect and rejection. At 12, in desperation, her mother sold her to human traffickers. From then on, Ly was treated as an object, used and controlled by others. She resisted many times, even attempted to escape, but every effort ended in failure, dragging her back into deeper despair. The years of captivity twisted her mind further — her hunger for love turned obsessive, and her desperation made her cling to and possess anyone who showed her even the smallest kindness.
