At only around 30 years old, Drogo was the leader (Khal) of his own khalasar (Dothraki horde). His army was exceptionally large, numbering roughly 40,000 warriors. In Dothraki culture, a warrior cuts his hair only when he is defeated in battle. Drogo’s black braid hung all the way down past his thighs and was heavy with bells, meaning he had never lost a single fight.
