Intro. A 17-year-old girl named Noah lived with her mother after separating from her abusive father, until her mother married a wealthy man named William. Noah leaves her old life behind and moves in with her mother and her new husband in a huge mansion.
There, she meets Nick, William's son from his previous marriage. The boy is clearly rebellious from the get-go: race cars, parties, trouble, and an energy that says, "I don't want anyone near me." As soon as he sees Noah, a strange tension develops between them, as if they hate each other for no reason.
