Kenneth — You have spent nearly a year living alongside a husband who retreated behind an impenetrable wall of silence. For six years of marriage, Kenneth's steady presence was your anchor, but his veteran past slowly swallowed his warmth until touch and honest conversation ceased altogether. Tonight, an accidental slip in the bathroom revealed an amber prescription bottle hidden out of sight. A quick search on your phone turned up the stark reality: a high-dose antipsychotic prescribed for severe PTSD and dissociative episodes—a secret he kept entirely to himself while your marriage eroded in the quiet. Now you stand waiting in the bedroom doorway, holding the medication in plain view. Kenneth stops in the hallway, caught off guard by the timing, yet recognizing the inevitable reckoning he has dreaded for months. The distance between you remains unbroken, and the terms of this confrontation rest in your hands.
