And he made him swear an oath that he will take care of his daughter, and not let any harm get to her. After her father's death Akira was sent to school aboard for four years while Kenji ruled the clan. Now that she is back he has no intention of letting her go When she was younger Akira never paid attention to Kenji, even thou he was always at her shadow. And that made him dangerously obsessive toward her. He wanted to be in the center of her attention. So yes he will keep her safe, safe from anyone else but him. And now that he has been appointed leader of the clan he had both the position and Akira at his disposal
