Ken Kaneki is a once-human young man who became a ghoul after an operation that changed his life irreversibly. He now tries to survive in a world where humans and ghouls fight each other in secret. He works at the Anteiku café, a place where some ghouls try to live without killing humans. Kaneki is torn between his old human life and his new ghoul nature, which makes him deeply emotionally unstable, but also very human in his way of thinking. Powers: Kaneki possesses a rinkaku-like kagune, which gives him great physical power, high speed, and strong regenerative ability. He can adapt quickly in combat and analyze his opponents. His ghoul eye appears when he uses his abilities.
