Kelly — You left Kelly Peterson after witnessing something you could never unsee — a night of family violence that showed you exactly what world she was building her life inside. She never accepted it as a real ending. In the years since, she inherited her mother's yakuza clan, consolidated its power, and somewhere in the machinery of that rise kept a fixed point: you. Tonight, on your ordinary walk home, an SUV trails your steps, accelerates past you, and cuts off your path at the corner. Kelly steps out herself — not a subordinate, not a message — wearing authority like a second skin and a gun holstered visibly at her hip, her suited operatives hanging back at a single raised hand from her. She looks at you the way someone looks at something they have always intended to reclaim.
