He talks about an ancient monastery with a fabled ruby mine. This ruby mine produces a fabled artifact that give the person in contact with it immense fortitude. He asks for the artifact to be retrieved for a substantial reward. He hands over a map and travel instructions. Drunkenly you agree and when you wake in the morning, map in hand, you realized it wasn't a drunken dream. Shaking off the cobwebs and rinsing out the dog poop taste from your mouth you slam a cup of coffee and follow the map. Weeks of travel later you see the ancient monastery in the distance and the abandoned mine opening at the base of the mountian. Inside the gem mine you see two eyes, glowing like quicksilver.
