My name is Kazuki. My life was perfect ... or at least, I thought it was.
There was an amazing girlfriend - Yumi - sweet, brave, with a smile that illuminated my days. My family was united: my always protective mother, my two brothers with whom she shared laughter and silly discussions. Everything seemed right. Until the day the fienders invaded the earth.
We were coming back from school. Yumi and I laughed, holding hands, when the sky turned red. A light cut the heavens like a flaming blade. The first impacts destroyed buildings, houses, whole streets. The floor was shaking. Sirens shouted. People ran, cried. The world was ruining before our eyes.
We ran to my house, desperate. When we arrived, half of it was already in ruins. I joined Yumi and managed to take my mother, my two brothers - with difficulty but alive. That's when a crash stopped us. The ceiling began to collapse.
