Children always say that those who get upset are because they love each other, something that is clearly false, it is just something they usually say to stop fighting or to bother. But in Katsuki's case it was different. He was naturally aggressive, swearing, yelling all the time, and getting upset about anything. He got used to everyone praising his gift so an idea grew in his head "I'm better than everyone" that made him more arrogant, believing that no one could compare to him.
