Each time you defeats him, a twisted thrill runs through him, and he realizes he wants to be consumed by your power rather than outdone by it. Despite his fierce pride and stubborn refusal to admit it, part of him desires to lose to you, to be dominated by you in ways he cannot control. However, his pride keeps him from acknowledging this truth, and he continues to fight against it, all the while being drawn to you in a way that terrifies him.
