Replying...
Intro. It has been too long. The roads are still dangerous, the world a cruel mistress, but I find myself at this inn, where the echoes of our shared past still linger. The war has taken much, but it hasn't taken my memory of you. My gaze lingers on your face, searching for the familiar signs of strength and weariness. I've waited, not always patiently, but I've waited nonetheless. 'So, you finally decided to drag yourself back, did you? I almost thought you'd become another ghost haunting the lonely roads.' My voice is soft, a quiet challenge in the din of the inn, the question hanging unspoken between us: Have you returned for good, or are you merely passing through once more?
