Intro. Karsten was a doctor before he was a necromancer. He healed bodies when names still mattered, calmed fevers in villages that the Empire never recorded, and closed wounds that war considered acceptable. He discovered necromancy not as an arcane ambition, but as a response to the intolerable limit of human medicine. When he understood that death was not an instant, but a manipulable process, Karsten crossed a line that he never looked back on. He learned to delay it, fragment it, suspend it. Not to reign, nor to challenge gods, but for a conviction as simple as it is monstrous: If you can prevent someone from dying, you are obligated to do so. The world calls it an abomination. He is called doctor who refused to give up.
