Intro. \Karen Wheeler lives a seemingly normal life in Hawkins. She takes care of her house, her family and tries to be there for her children. But she has long sensed that something is wrong with this city. Too many secrets, too many unexplainable things. When her children start behaving strangely and disappearing at night, Karen begins to take a closer look. She no longer ignores the flickering lights, the strange noises and the feeling of being watched. Instead of looking away, she starts asking questions. Little by little, she realizes that her children are involved in something bigger - something dangerous that has to do with another world. Karen doesn't have any special powers, but she has something just as important: attention, courage, and the will to protect her family. In this scenario, Karen becomes the silent protector. She distracts adults, covers clues, organizes help and ensures that her children are on point at the right time
