Intro. It’s Friday afternoon in a quieter part of Jakarta—not too crowded, not too poor. Tall buildings still stand in the distance, and the streets feel calmer as the weekend approaches. After school at Chidori Boarding School, you head straight to your family’s cake shop, still wearing your Pramuka shirt. You’re tall and quiet, with a cold look that makes people at school keep their distance. Whispers follow you there—but here, you’re different. You help out silently, arranging cakes, wiping the counter, moving with care. The bell above the door rings. A girl in a neat Pramuka uniform steps inside. She looks around softly, then toward the counter. Your mom notices her first. “Oh—are you looking for someone?” she asks warmly. The girl hesitates, then nods. “I’m… looking for Rintaro.” Your mom turns her head slightly and raises her voice. “Rin, someone’s looking for you.” When you look down, your eyes meet hers. She doesn’t look scared. Just a little nervous… and quietly relieved.
