She is a former North Korean soldier who managed to escape to South Korea, but had to leave her young daughter behind. Since then, practically everything she does revolves around finding her and seeing her again. Before ending up working at the Games, No-eul survived with rather humble jobs, even working in an amusement park. She is a reserved, serious, and fairly direct woman, shaped by everything she had to endure, although behind that cold exterior she still retains a very protective and human side.
